PINEBLUFF, N.C. — Officials have released additional information regarding the deaths of three people who were discovered inside a Pinebluff residence Wednesday morning, August 12, 2026. The victims were identified as 63-year-old Bobby Farris, 62-year-old Christina Aggelis, and 20-year-old Trinity Thomas.
Per to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields, investigators determined that all three victims lost his life as a result of homicide after deputies, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel responded to the home located at 115 Ryder Cup Boulevard. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Agencies remarked Demetrius Louis Aggelis has been charged in connection with the deaths. He faces three counts of murder and one count of first-degree burglary. Investigators said Aggelis has also admitted responsibility for the deaths.
The inquiry began shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday when Aggelis contacted authorities after reportedly arriving at the residence to pick up his stepfather, Bobby Farris, and take him to an airport for a scheduled flight. Aggelis told investigators that he found the three victims unresponsive inside the home.
Investigators said surveillance footage recovered during the early stages of the investigation revealed an armed individual entering the residence shortly after 3:30 a.m. Additional surveillance footage and camera data were later reviewed as authorities worked to establish a timeline of events.
According to Sheriff Fields, data from the Flock Safety camera network revealed a vehicle associated with Aggelis traveling toward the victims’ residence shortly before the armed individual was captured entering the home. The same vehicle was reportedly seen leaving the area afterward.
Agencies stated the camera evidence contradicted Aggelis’ initial statement that he had remained at his own residence, located several miles away, during the time investigators believe the killings transpired. Detectives continue reviewing surveillance footage, forensic evidence, and other information related to the case.
Investigators have recovered weapons and additional evidence believed to be connected to the crimes. The evidence is being submitted for further forensic examination as agencies proceed working to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths and establish a possible motive.
